Paccheri

Categories: Pasta , Gragnano PGO

Paccheri is a type of pasta in the shape of a very large tube, originating from the Southern regions of Campania and Calabria.

It's a great pasta shape if you love big pasta shapes with lots of texture and a rustic bite. The best part is that the sauce has plenty of space to get inside the paccheri tube, so each bite is really a perfect one.

Although you absolutely can, paccheri pasta is not usually used for stuffing it.

Paccheri can be lined or smooth, like in this case.

If you compare it to rigatoni, paccheri pasta is much larger.

Paccheri pasta is especially delicious with meat sauces like paccheri bolognese, but also paccheri amatriciana. Plus, it is also a great shape to get creative with.

Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil, add salt and the pasta. Cook the pasta, drain and dress with one of our delicious sauces or pestos. Cooking time: 12-15 mins.
